Demolishing and Dismantling: Not the same thing

BD&S both demolishes and dismantles buildings. There is a difference.

Demolition is the safe destruction and removal of an entire structure. Dismantling a building means taking only those structural portions or pieces that the owner desires be removed. For example, a homeowner might want everything taken down but the fireplace. That calls for careful dismantling around the fireplace.

Dismantling also involves interior demolition of commercial and residential structures. If your desire is to retain part of the building, we’ll see it’s done correctly.
